about me
I grew up just outside of Asheville, NC. My parents were also both from a neighboring county, so we had A LOT of family around. I grew up around all of my cousins, I spent time in the frigid (but refreshing) mountain creeks and rivers, and there were lots of picnics and hikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I owe all of my creative genes to my Mama. We tagged along to a few Quilting Bees, Craft Shows. She taught us all how to crochet and sew at some point, and my sister and I spent many hours playing with our handmade cabbage patch dolls that she spent so many hours crafting for us. She still makes each grandchild an crocheted afghan for High School Graduation, and just completed 2 baby blankets for twin Great Grandbabies.
And although I was among her early students of crochet and love to crochet alongside my Mama, crochet is not where I tend to feel most creative. These days, I find myself creating sweet themes for handmade doll quilts or warping my loom with a new color palette for coasters or perhaps baby washcloths and aspiring to make bigger gifts soon.
I hope that you enjoy my site, and find what you were looking for, or maybe something that you fell in love with along the way.
